When will I get my rewards?

Fulfillment for StoryGuider is planned as follows:

April 2026 Big Book of Heroes (digital) Big Book of Friends (digital)

June 2026 Big Book of Heroes (POD keys) Big Book of Friends (POD keys)

July 2026 Big Book of Dragons (digital) Just the Characters (digital)

August 2026 Big Book of Dragons (POD keys) Just the Characters (POD keys)

I plan to keep you updated throughout the process and will pull ahead releases where possible. Since the stories are already written, the primary drivers for timing are: art converting to book format layout proofreading checking test prints

What's the deal with the POD keys?

POD keys are print-on-demand keys, and the way they work for this project is as follows:

I am charging only the PDF cost for the game during this campaign. So, if you buy the PDF, I will also be sending you a POD key in case you want a physical copy as well. You don’t have to use the POD key, but you will have it available.

The POD key will be a special link to the printer’s website. This link will allow you to get the printed version of the book at printing cost.

If three single adventure books cost $3 each to print, you would then pay 3 * $3 to the printer and handle any shipping arrangements on the printer’s website.

You can find out more about this in the “What the deal with the POD keys?” section of the project page: https://www.backerkit.com/c/projects/ttrpgkids/ttrpgkids-30-new-to-print-ttrpgs-for-kids#story_section_21067

Do I have to use the POD key? How much will it cost?

Using the POD key is totally optional, so you do not have to use it later, you can just play with the print and play PDF files (since they work really well as coloring sheets on their own).

If you want to use the POD keys, the estimated printing costs as of August 2025 are as follows:

Softcover (available at start of campaign): 5.5” x 8.5” single adventure - $3/ea 8.5” x 11” Big Book (12 adventures) - $12 - $20/ea

Hardcover (available if applicable stretch goals are unlocked): 5.5” x 8.5” single adventure - $8/ea 8.5” x 11” Big Book (12 adventures) - $18 - $25 /ea

These are only estimated costs, which means that they can fluxuate for any number of reasons, from increases in paper costs to tarrifs impacting shipment to books outside the country. I will be working to keep this cost as low as possible without sacrificing the quality of the book. I have two printer options lined up, and I will go with the most reasonable option at the time of fulfillment.

For shipping, this will vary greatly by country and will fluxuate based on the latest international shipping requirements. Within the US, you can expect shipment via media mail, which will likely range between $4.50 - $10.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
